Meetings with For The Love Of Millie
We had the pleasure of chatting to ambassadors Jen and family who own this beautiful caravan.
If you have not heard who make up For The Love Of Millie you can read all about their introduction here .
They own a fresh and calm vintage 16ft Millard caravan initially inspired by Michael and Carlene Duffy’s very first caravan renovation on Vonnie the Viscount back in November 2017. Jen and family set out to preserve any unique features of the van, like its vintage door handles and hinges, cabinetry and light fittings. I loved the idea of bringing in all the natural elements of nature into the van by using a soft green seaglass palette for the cabinetry, pops of gold for the vintage door handles and hinges and hints of timber, rattan and macrame throughout to hopefully create a warm coastal vintage vibe…….almost like you’re in holiday mode as soon as you step inside.
Jen and Family are based in Australia, and in Australia they have already had a second lockdown. Earlier in the UK lockdown we checked in with our ambassadors and asked how things were?
At that time Jen said , ‘ We have done really well considering. If anything, its made us appreciate life a little more but also embrace the importance of family and being grateful for all the little things we have in life. We are excited for our next adventure!’
Knowing that a second lockdown had happened since we hoped that Jen and the family were still longing to go on the open road ?
‘Now things are going well. Restrictions have eased a little, kids are back at school but I can’t lie that life is a whole lot different now. We are counting down the days to get back out there and embrace the open road!’
With new products on their way we asked Jen what they were excited to see next ?
‘I cannot wait to see all the new and exciting products Stitchaco will be releasing shortly. I love everything neutral coloured and everything soft and beachy, plus sustainable. Just up my alley! ‘
Thank you For The Love Of Millie .
